I did look at a couple you tube videos but they wanted me to follow a link to download some software. I have a hard time trusting software acquired in such a way. Does Microsoft offer a patch or something to fix this problem? I'm not real tech savvy but can follow instructions and am familiar with a lot of the technical terms.
There are probably millions of devices that need that software to work for upgrades and/or just a connection to the computer to manage files on their devices. I'm sure the 'blocked software' problem has been prevalent since Windows 10 was released and there must be a cure by now, right? I hope so because my phone is sitting in 'odin mode' saying that it is downloading when it actually is not downloading. Says not to turn off target device (my phone) so I'm stuck and don't know if it's safe to turn it off because that is the only way I can think of to get it out of 'odin mode.'
